What's inside the park
- The Jetties / Kiddie Pool — a protected lagoon between the rock jetties, ideal for small swimmers and snorkeling on calm days.
- Gulf-side beach — the main wide sand beach.
- Sand Pine Nature Trail & Heron Pond — easy walks through coastal scrub.
- Boat ramps, picnic pavilions, and a small camp store.
- Shell Island ferry / shuttle — seasonal, departs from inside the park (see the Shell Island guide).
Practical notes
- There's a per-vehicle day-use fee at the gate. Confirm the current amount on the official Florida State Parks site.
- The park can reach capacity on hot summer weekends and stops admitting vehicles — arrive early.
- Bring water, snacks, and sun protection; the camp store is small.
- Pets are allowed in specific areas only — check current rules on the park site.
